it seems that the business is being outsourced, so there are non americans handling calls primarily in the US.

CSRs are theones who make calls, i know that but they represent the companies, so they they just follow what their companies tell them to do. But how do you feel about CSRs which are obviously non americans, so their accent is different.

I get many calls from telemarketing companies every day. I own a business with a home office. I get business and personal calls all day. 80% of them are Americans. I get a few more people with accents now it seems. When you call them, the customer service reps, a lot of those are ousourced overseas, but not the reps that make outbound calls.
Handling or making calls? Customer service "handles" calls. Telemarketing firms "make" calls, there is a huge difference.
I find the Filipino's make the best cust service reps. They learn English in grade school and are well spoken.

I've heard if you are on the "No-Call" list and they still call you - there's a monetary reward for reporting them! Haven't tried this, as most of the tele-marketing calls I get are from "Charitable Organizations" requesting donations! Considering the number of crooks who try to raise money through this tactic, or the fact that in most cases less than 40% of the money raised is actually used for the cause - I'd like to see the loophole for charities closed as well!

Telemarketing sux, the people who work at them usually don't stay at it very long. Now even lots of them are out of work because the majority of the calls are automated
