For example : In Thailand and other SE Asian countries, people have been selling their daughters into prostitution for money or even a new TV.
Or even right here when families will force their daughters to marry a rich,old, nasty guy just so they can have money.

I think its the discust of mankind, how we break our principals when certain bad situations occur. Most people i have experienced do that are poor people or people who have faced poverty at one stage in their life, and fear it the most. My cusion was being forced to marry an old guy just cos her family didnt have much money, and they could do with a little cost cutting!!
My theory is (works most times) , people are born good, its the circumstances and situations that makes them bad. THAT SAID, people are responsible for their own actions, its only fair, cant blame things on situations since they are out of reach of our control.

I think the first one is worse than the second. There's no exuse for forced prostitution. The second one, well that one has been done for centuries. And just now is starting to be considered wrong. But honestly there are many that are willing to do this themselves actually both of them without being forced into it just to get money for their families. So yes it is sad & i feel sorry for their situation. There was a girl in the philippines i met once who wanted to marry me for this exact reason but i new she didn't love me or even have strong feelings for me so i turned her down politely. She was still upset though.

I think the women who sell their daughters must be in desparate situations, and feel that they have no other alternative. Also, they have been taught not to value the life or soul of their daughters. From birth they only look at their female children as burdens. Only worth something in marriage. So therefore, money and objects become more valuable to them then their children. They are obviously not emotionally attached to their daughters in the same way that we get attached to our children (most of us).
So overall it is just a reflection of the society that they are in. not necessarily something to fault them on.

I think its just terrible.Under no circumstances would I sale my daughter to someone and know that her little body would be abused in horrible ways and would be looked at as nothing more than a plaything for a perverted old man.I would prefer to starve to death first.I don't care what culture these women are from its your choice to love your children or not to love your children.
