There is no excuse for those actions. It is frustrating when women like that get pregnant, they show no appreciation for being a mother. If a mother can not care for a child they need to step up and go through an adoption agencies to find the baby a loving and stable home. There are so many couples who can not have there own child and want to adopt. It is sad and depressing that this small child was just tossed away when there was a good home waiting for him/her some where in the world.

I have no idea I also cannot see how a person can have an abortion. I am not the type to judge I know people who have had them and It is not my place to judge them due to this but personally I could never and would never think of doing either of these to my baby. I think it is sick and disgusting. I have five children and 3 were conceived while on birth control but in my opinion if you play then you should pay and I love all five of my children equally and with all of my heart and sole even if they were not planned. And if anyone has any sob stories that they are single and can't afford it or can't get help that is nothing but BS because I was single with 4 children for 4 years and did not receive child support and no did not get help from family watching my children I was on my own when it came to raising my children and the only help I got from the state was Day Care so I could work. Most states will pay for child care in your home with a friend or family member that does not have to be licensed. So I myself can't see why someone would do it. Oh and also don't forget most states also have safe havens now where you can leave your unwanted child and no questions asked.

I agree with you 100%. It is a sick individual who needs serious mental help! It seems like about 10 years or so ago there were 4 cases of that in my area within a months time period. I can not imagine what goes through their heads. Those poor babies. I saw that before I had my babies, and when I looked at them when they were born, I just started crying. I can not imagine what MONSTER could hurt an innocent baby! They are so precious, innocent and helpless. But that is also my feelings on abortion.. But I would really rather not go there...
My baby number four was a surprise, but that was the best surprise I could have EVER been given! I can not imagine my life with out him!
Like I said, they seriously need mental help, because they are sick in the head!
Also I feel that someone who is caught doing that should be forced to get surgically fixed so they can never harm another innocent child! There should be no second chances in those circumstances!

Yeah, some people just don't get it, I had my first baby at 15 years old, I could of did anything in the world to that baby, being so young, but, I decided to take on my responsibilities and care for this little baby, Well, needles to say when my daughter was 6 weeks old I lost her to SIDS aka Crib Death, She would of just turned 15 on August 5th, When I was 19 I got married, my ex husband and I tried for 8 long years to have a baby, and every month I was disappointed......... we ended up divorcing and a little while later I met another man, Now I have 3 beautiful children ages 4 , 3 and 7 months......... I couldn't go through what I once went through again if I had to !!!!!!!!!!

many women are left alone by the baby's father. They feel worthless and abandoned. They don't know who to turn to and are afraid to get help. Some teens think their parents will "kill" them if they found out they were pregnant or the baby's father made her do it. There is no reason for it though. There are always place to go for help. Churches, abuse centers, pregnancy hotlines or a bestfriend. Some want to get abortions but don't have the money so this is the only way out for them. Immautre minds and maybe an abusive childhood. We as a nation must made help more available. I am adopted myself and I know it would be hard to give your baby to someone else but it sure it a lot better than killing it. I've heard that many churches and hospitals have it where if you gave birth you can bring the newborn to them and tell them you don't want it. No questions asked, they will take the baby, give it a physical and it will be put up for adoption. I think doing that would be better to live with instead of the memorance of throwing it in the trash.

My guess would be lack of a conscience.
I read a similar story a few days ago. Here in Atlanta, a teenage girl had a baby and left it in the laundry room of her apartment complex. Aside from suffering a little exposure and being hungry, the baby was fine. (He was found a few hours later by a man doing his laundry, I believe. The baby was estimated to be about 5 hours old.) The best part about this story is that this "thing" that gave birth to the baby is now being prosecuted. If she'd only dropped her baby off at the local hospital, police station, fire department, etc. she could have avoided all of this. (I forget what it's called, but I believe women have up to 7 hours to surrender their baby to the authorities for placement in foster care without being held responsible or getting in trouble.) I'm glad they're prosecuting this idiot...what is WRONG with people?

This is sad. It touches me each time I hear of it happening. Woman need people to reachout to them. They need to know how and where to get help, without being looked down on. Teenage girls need more resorces. These are the ones we most hear about "tossing their babies away". If parents stay more in tune with their children, their children will have less of a reason to hide. Young woman who are simply not ready, not married, have a illness, should be reached out to.... if its noticed they are pregnant. Rather the looking down on them for their situation. We can never help or stop every single child born from being hurt. But we can provide more and offer more education that can reduce how often it occurs. God Bless our babies.

I know.. that absolutely destroys me seeing those stories on the news. When you think about all the people out there who want children so bad and can't have them and then see people like this. Mostly crack mothers, people with disabilities, scared 15 year old girls that don't know what to do is why I think this happens.
This is also why I will never understand people who are against abortion. And I'm sure a lot of people are going to be jumping down my throat for saying that but I will never change my mind about that either. Yes, there is adoption but people who do things like this will never consider it. Would all those people so against abortion rather see babies end up in dumpsters or being raised by crack mothers or people who aren't able to care for them?

Im sorry to say I cant answer this for you. I am a mother of a beautiful 2 year old lttle girl and I wouldn't dream of hurting one hair on her tiny head. I often wonder the same thing. With so many options these days these babies dont have to die. To sit down and ask one of these heartless mothers cow they could do this just to hear what they have to say. This is why girls, woman, any female needs to know they have options. So I cant answer this with a logical answer that you would accept because I do not understand it myself.

I know, it just breaks my heart. I can't imagine ever hurting my baby.
I watch all those tv shows, and news channels and whenever it talks about a baby being harmed in some way I almost want to cry.
How can someone do such a thing and still manage to live with themselves.
