Outfit to Meet the Parents?

Question

I'm meeting my boyfriend's parents tomorrow and I need some advice on what to wear.

I'm 21 (so no business suits, haha), live in San Diego (so no long sleeve or coats) and I have been dating this guy for a year and a half so I want to make a good impression. I will also be coming straight from school, so nothing too fancy that I can't wear to school.

I would say casual is the key. Pants are preferable. What you have to make sure is that all bases are covered. In this I mean that you do not want to wear a skirt/dress because you do not know how low their furniture sits. It would be embarrassing trying to struggle to get up and remain poised while wearing a skirt. No button-ups that go completely down. Would hate to lean forward and have some button gaping where it shouldn't be.

Hi, Speaking as a mother here....if you are coming from school why not just wear what you wore to school? Us parents aren't that big and bad...gosh some of us were even kids once ourselves! I know that is hard to believe, but true. Seriously, I remember when I met my future mother in law...and I was the ripe old age of 15...I was scared to death. Just take a deep breath and be yourself. i agree with the first post - something 'churchy', most girls wear nice skirts and blouses to church, and look great without showing off too much. I'd say a pretty skirt, knee length, with a nice blouse - the blouse can be racier than the skirt should be.
Show 'em you're a lady - but a hot one.

Dress conservatively. Wear an outfit you would wear to church. Be well groomed and get your hair done and a manicure. First impressions are important.

try black jeans or a black dressy skirt with a pastel coloured skirt.

are the parents conservative? if so wear something you might wear to a wedding or if your going to a conservative church or sumfin.

if your not sure abt the ear-piercing thing then try wearing just clear studs until you know if they're ok with it. (if your lucky enough to have your ears pierced).

I am not saying literally these, I am saying, things like these, and make them match. I think you know how to do that, if not, then ask the workers at the store, they help a bunch.

Since I dont know what you look like, I dont know what colors would look good on you, but one thing is for sure, nuetral colors look good on EVERYONE.
