Isn't it great we have a group in this country that believes the Constitution should apply to all people, from Buddhists to Baptists, from the majority to the minority, from the poor to the rich, from the hungry to the tired to the huddled masses yearning to breathe free?
What could be more American than that?

What could be more American is a group that actually defends our Bill of Rights. Like the NRA.
The ACLU picks and chooses what to defend based on what is convenient to its Communist foundations. It was formed by a Communist named Baldwin.
The ACLU's stance on armed citizenry is the same as Communists - only to the degree that it is convenient to and controlled by State masters.
We should expect the ACLU to take on a couple of cases to polish its image and defray accusations - like the one you pointed out. They're not stupid. Communists play Chess while Americans play football.

I agree with speakeasy! Somethings up with the ACLU if they took the side of a religious organization. Maybe they are in cahoots with Tom Cruise, he's sinking fast so he makes an apology to Brooke Sheilds hoping for a little redemption, the ACLU might be looking for a little too.

I am shocked, normally the ACLU is as unamerican as one can get. They normally keep prayer from school, keep religious rights out of the work place, and attack all the morals of America.
The ACLU is sitll one of the biggest threats to the Amercian public even more dangerous than the terrroist in my opinoin.
There are other great groups that always fight for religious rights, ACLU must have confused this with some other group when they did this.

The ACLU defends all sides of the constitution... from the politically correct stuff like defending religion to the politically incorrect stuff like the free speech rights of the KKK.
If all they did was fight the easy and popular fights, then they really wouldn't make as much of a difference in our lives as they do.

ACLU ha-ha scum of the earth I agree they must need money to fund their fight for the sexual predators.
That's right the ACLU was trying to get RID of the sexual predators registry. Hey if they get their way you may be sending your kids to a convicted sex offenders house without knowing. Your kid get a birthday party invite. You think they are a nice family. BAM next thing you know you are sending your kid to little Misty's house when her dad is a pedophile.
Exactly how can you stand up for these people?
