Yes, obviously this has to do with genetics, but not all members in the family have their blonde hair outgrown, some keep the blonde.

The colour of your hear is controlled by a type of cells called melanocytes. They are at the hair follicle and produce the pigment that colours your hair. The pigment production changes along your life and so does your hair colour.

It's true I was blonde till I was 16yrs old & My Brother still has blonde hair the rest of us either got brown hair or black hair

Hair is dead cells. Most people when they have blonde hair at first will eventually get darker, because of their age the hair darkens at times the cells gets older and changes the color of your hair beneath the scalp.

That is interesting...I was born with blonde hair and now I have dark brown hair. My girlfriend was born with black hair and hers is blonde now. (Neither of us dye our hair)
