The best known answers are Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, T. S. Eliot, Ezra Pound, and Gertrude Stein. They were part of the "Lost Generation"-- a generation disillusioned by the world they saw around them. Large numbers of literary figures moved to Paris, including the people mentioned above.
