I am in a really sad situation here...see, my 14-yr old girl friend (notice the space) had sex with one of her guy friends.

She said she would kill me if i told her parents. Should I?

I don't want to feel like a traitor, but then again, i have a sinking feeling that i should...

I would tell her parents. I'm in college right now, and in highschool and middleschool I knew girls who had sex and they just kept having it until they got pregnant or got an sti or got in abusive relationships. I realize now I should have told their parents. Seriously! It would have harmed our friendship, which was so important at the time but I don't even know them anymore. What's more important is that they get help. If anything make sure they are having SAFE sex. Tell her about scarleteen because they tell you all you need to know about condoms, self-respect, birth control, etc. There's so much about sex and your body that they don't teach you in school and that's very important to know before you start having sex.
It would be better to tell her parents, but either way make sure she is INFORMED.
It's really easy to make a mistake, and with sex it's never a small mistake.

God no, don't tell them. Really it's none of your business and she wouldn't have told you at all if you were not her friend. Friends don't do that to each other. It's her life, and what would her parents do about it anyway? Just get her in trouble i'm sure. Just tell her she should go to the sexual health clinic and get some birth control or even condoms. Even just going to the school nurse would be great. Friends should do what's best for each other and telling her parents would not be best. Trust me.

You should not say anything to her parents because that would just cut off the relationship you two have. Tell her the importance of protection and how she should be using it. She already did it nothing you can do about that now.

don't tell that could end up in a awful situation. I think that the best you can do is try to convince HER to tell then if she doesn't listen its her fault and you can remember that you tried. And maybe show her the way to the cemist were she can pick up a condom, pregnancy test and some brochers. GOOD LUCK GAL!

it isn't your business to tell her parents. her relationship with her parents is between her and her parents...that's it. focus on your relationship with her. ultimately, it is only her decision to have sex so just talk to her about staying safe. does she know how to properly use a condom?? does she know to see a clinic to see a gynocologist?? how does she really feel about this guy?? talk to her about it and make sure she understands that you respect her decisions but that you are concerned for her.

you might want to talky ou your parent about it or ask you self 'is it really right?!" think abotu if her parents woudl want to know and how they woudl react. i mean ithink its worth tellign it is totally not cool! I mean waht if she got pregnant she woudl be a teenager mother. that is about 100% worse then telling her parents that she did it at 14 and lost her virginity

I wouldn't say anything..that would just be harder for your girl friend to deal with and then she may end up being very upset with you.
