If you have tried everything but have had no luck, ask the doctor for a perscription for acutaneb but be very careful if he gives it to you. It has many side effects. You need to take it for at least 3 months. It's very expensive and your skin will dry out, your lips may crack and your feet may swell. You must not get pregnant while you are on it because it can cause birth defects.

The side effects can be unpleasant, but I had a big problem with acne when I was 31 and after 6 years of embarrassment, I finally asked the doctor for acutane and I haven't had a problem since and it is the only thing that helped. Acutane is a very concentrated for of vitamin A.

You might also try taking a vitamin A supplement in small doses but I'm not sure how long it would take to notice a difference.

People will tell you to wash your face. Don't listen to them, they are answers from people who have never had a problem with acne. No one could wash their face more often or better than I do and that never helped me. Most people with acne wash their faces often it's not a matter of hygene, it's a matter of a chemical imbalance in your system and one thing that can cause that, if you are a woman, is going off birth control.

Take care and I hope you can clear up your problem, I know how bad you must feel.

I have tried everything and the only 2things that have helped me where the Accutane and the Proactive. I had acne so bad that I couldn't take it anymore so I went to 3 different dermatologist until the 1 finally gave in and put me on Accutane yes this is a bad medicine but if you feel any way I have felt you are willing to try anything! AND YES THE ACCUTANE cleared my skin up. But I only stayed on it 3mos because I got a tooth ache and well u cant take antibiotics with this so I had to get off of it but it worked good until I got pregnant and my hormones started to act up again and the acne came back but not as bad as it was the 1st time so the proactive helped but if you have a hectic schedule like me trying to remember to use it nite and day is hard but go ahead and give it a try. good luck

Laser surgery. The treatments are 15 -20 minutes long and each treatment is done every 4 weeks. Depending on how bad your acne is will determine how many treatments you get. You can see results after your first session, of course everyone is different so you might not. It does work though. It can be expensive, but it might be covered by your health insurance. If not you could probably pay as you do each session. Go on the Internet for someone near you. Good Luck with whatever you choose to do.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/... that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

My friends love Proactive but I haven't tried it.
I'm in my mid 20's WAY too old to have zits but I kept breaking out so I went to a dermatologist. Now 3 months later I am finally acne free. It cost me a $20 co-pay and the medication runs me $25 a month so it's costs just about the same as Proactive.

I've been using AcneFree for about 2 months now and it works great! It does dry your face out a little, so you might want to use a little moisturizer afterwards. I tried every type of face wash you can imagine, this is the only thing that worked for me. Good luck!!

While it took little less than two months for me to really see a difference, my acne, blackheads and whole lot of other skin problems I had such as eczema had completely cleared! It was totally amazing...

I recently had to use some 8 hour Acne remover in my ear my wife recommended it.

If you can get to a doctor, I used Retin A its a slower treatment but its will remove layers of the skin it removes the bonding between cells.
