When I was little I had imaginary friends because I was an only child and I didn't have anyone to play with!
But now, I do not have imaginary friends.

People can't possible believe that imaginary friends exist, surely they must realise they are either talking to themselves or the wall of the psychiatric ward in which they reside.

Yes, I imagine, I do. I imaginary partners? No, I don't. But as a writer I do, at times, draw upon a collection of both actual and fictional people to bring a song to life. And as far as in my mind... Well, the voices no longer talk to me... The just talk about me... As if I don't hear them... 'no we dont', 'yes we do', 'no we dont', 'yes, we do!'... "Shut up both of you.... He'll hear us..."

Nah.
I did when I was a kid tho.
I remember my sister asking me how do we get imaginary friends.
I said "you open the closet and their hanging from imaginary hangers"
Lol, and I used to believe that, too.

Every alcoholic in recovery has one. It's the friend who helps him stay sober. The folks in AA call it "The Higher Power". Buddhists call it "The self". Taoists call it "The Way". And so on.
