No offence, but horrible things have happened to people all over the world since time began. May of them the result of terrorist acts. None will ever get the media attention or response of 9/11. Enough iis being done. The world remembers.

One way to remember 9/11 is the following

IF I KNEW

If I knew it would be the last time
That I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly
and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time
that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss
and call you back for one more

If I knew it would be the last time
I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word,
so I could play them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time,!=3D20
I could spare an extra minute
to stop and say "I love you,"
instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.

If I knew it would be the last time
I would be there to share your day,
Well I'm sure you'll have so many more,
so I can let just this one slip away.

For surely there's always tomorrow
to make up for an oversight,
and we always get a second chance
to make everything just right.

There will always be another day
to say "I love you,"
And certainly there's another chance
to say our "Anything I can do?"

But just in case I might be wrong,
and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you
and I hope we never forget.

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone,
young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance
you get to hold your loved one tight.

So if you're waiting for tomorrow,
why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes,
you'll surely regret the day,

That you didn! 't take that extra time
for a smile, a hug, or a kiss
and you were too busy to grant someone,
what turned out to be their one last wish.

So hold your loved ones close today,
and whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them
and that you'll always hold them dear

I do. Look at the wall to wall coverage on every conceivable news outlet - TV, newspapers, radio, magazines, internet. We have 2 movies, several made-for-TV movies and shows. We are spending how many millions of dollars for memorials, and funds for survivors and family members.

Whether or not we remember in the RIGHT way is another story.

My family is from Oklahoma, and our nation does NOTHING to remember the Murrah bombing (remember, Timothy McVay, 168 people dead, daycare center right in front). To me, that lack of caring is a major issue - and something we should all be concerned about, not whether we need more attention on 9/11!

Personally, I think that its time for people to move on. Every year we become morbid in our fascination with what happened. The media only uses the tragedy to get better ratings during Sept. This kind of thing happens alot in other countries and if they did what the U.S. does, they would have memorials every other day.
Its time to let go of all those people who died and get on with our lives.

On which day did a tsunami wave kill 200,000 people in South Asia? I bet you don't remember. It was less than 2 years ago.

We do what we can to never forget. Sure, we'll go back to our day to day lives but that memory will forever be there.

I agree with you! We Americans have gone back to our usual attitude of me-first, self-centered it-couldn't-happen-here attitude.
