Knowledge of a particular language hardly matters (even if it is english) if your King of England. There will be enough hangers on to speak to u for u and on your behalf.

There are numerous. The early kings were French. George I spoke German. William III replaced into Dutch, yet i don't know if he knew English. probably he finally discovered it, in view that he married an English queen (who I doubt knew Dutch)
