What are the reasons due to which the ocean changes its color. The ocean provide differnet shades of blue color with ddifferent weather conditions. What is the scientific reason behind it ?

The chemical make up of the ocean in that location, the depth, the lighting, the reflection of what is around it.

The ocean's color changes because of many factors. Some include, temperature, depth, what the bottom material is made of (rock, sand, etc), angle of the sun, etc...

The color you see is the reflection and refraction of light from the sky - depending on the amount and density of clouds, you will get different intensities and wavelengths of light penetrating the clouds and creating different colors.

In layman's terms...it essentially is determined by the color of the sky.

the ocean reflects the sky.

also --I think it has to do with material in the ocean being churned up and changing its color too. . .
