Yoda there are several lines in star wars indicating that he is the best ex obi wan episode 2 talking to anakin "if you spent as much time practicing your saber techniques as you did flying you would rival master yoda as a swords man."
After him I go with Obi Wan. He defeated darth maul who killed quigon, so hes better than quigon, also he defeated anakin so he is better than him.
windu is a good canadit as well because he never got defeted in swordsmanship he was betrayed unexpectedly by anakin. Also windu was the only one to defeat sidious. something not even yoda was able to so windu might actualy be better than yoda. Of coarse then again we never get to see yoda in his prime just when he is about 900 years old.

Tough call, because all the really great swordmasters got killed in REALLY stupid ways.
Darth Maul got totally punked and then got the shaft. Pun intended.
Dooku fought and beat Anakin (the Chosen One), Obi (who beat Anakin), and stalemated Yoda (the most powerful frog in the galaxy), yet he gets killed easily by Anakin (by himself)?
Mace got royally screwed.
Darth Vader, who used to be my fav until the prequels turned him into a whiney, burned-up, baby-killer, and crippled with emphysema.
And the Emperor just gets thrown off the balcony be Vader? Why the heck didn't he just do that from the beginning?
Those movies make no kind of sense whatsoever.
So, in conclusion, I would choose Darth Maul. LOL!

people people the muffin that is known as yoda is not the best becuse he was beaten by darth sidious in the last movie and if grandpa sidious was beatn by goth vader in epsode 6 then that ofcourse makes vader stronger then that green muffin which makes vader the strongest and thats not the only raseson vader used a special crystal for his light saber that made him alot stronger then all the others

gotta go with master yoda. he was like 900 years old. he's got to have learned a thing or two about using a saber. although...i know someone who says mace because he uses form VII in lightsaber combat, which includes all the previous forms and the dark side.

Anakin/Darth, because of sheer strength. Plus the evil and anger are supposed to make him one level higher in ability than the good guys.

Yoda: because he is crazy agile. That scene when he fought the emperor in the senate room, you just can't mess with that.
