The answer is dependent on where you are. For instance, in the Middle East we are fighting groups of individuals who are unable to reason with other human beings. The bottom line, in their minds, is that if you are not a Muslim Extremist, you are an infidel and God wants you to die. How do you use trade and dialog with this type of person? You can't. In the case of the war on terror, I would much rather fight the battle in the back yards of those who started this war, versus fighting in my own back yard.

To exert all means byTrade and Dialog. Military force will be the last resort. First and foremost, we have to take into considerations the life of innocent civilians that normally get caught between the crossfires, before imposing military actions.

Well we've already seen what an utter failure spreading democracy by the barrel of a gun is. Just look at the failure that is Iraq. And just like Vietnam, the US forces will run from Iraq, with thier tails tucked firmly between thier legs...

Both. Most people want democracy, but there are a few who control most people in many of those areas, so military force is used to stop the tyrants, such as saddam and his regime.

Use the nukes whenever possible, after all, they are paid for and when used in the right place they can very quickly increase the ratio of democratic society to others and isn't that what is really important.

Trade and dialogue will not work. Never has. We've tried it for decades. If Iraq fails military force doesn't work either.
