I was at work - I worked in a building that was not 1/4 mile from the Tampa airport. I remember there were warnings that some planes were unaccounted for and they told everyone they could go home if they felt unsafe. I don't know that I felt unsafe, but I went home - I couldn't imagine working that day.
Two Tuesdays later I found out I was pregnant, and I was never so scared in my life. I couldn't imagine what kind of world I was bringing a new life into. Thank God for His gift. And the other daughter I had almost 3 years later.

I was at work on Robins AFB. We watched it happen and knew immediately that our life in the military was about to make an abrupt change. Bless all the families that lost a loved one in those attacks, and all the men and women over the last five years who have responded to the attacks.

I saw the first tower on smoking up on the news. Then I drove to work and told my co-worker (who knew nothing about the attacks). We listened to the news about 9/11 on the Internet radio. Then I went home and watched more of it on TV. I remember feeling horrible and terribly sad.

I was driving to work like any other day. My sister mentioned to me that a plane hit the WTC building. We thought it was a small plane that an unexperienced pilot veered into it. Once I got to work it all started coming out of what was going on. I felt terrified!

I was driving in to work when the attacks started. People were watching it on the news and listening to radio reports when I arrived.
Thank God that the terrorists' "rewards" were front row seats in hell!

Ironically I was in American History class(Junior in HS) and the principle came in and turned our TV on and the rest of the day there were no lessons. Every class all eyes were glued to the TV in shock and sadness.

I lost two cousins to that. One was a firefighter the person he saved got out but the building collapsed on him before he could run out. My other cousin worked on the floor that the plane crashed into.

I was in 4th grade and was driving along the countryside of england when I heard in on the radio. I fully can understand and feel the magnitude of this horrible event now, its just, numbing.

Chemistry class making all kinds of jokes about the irony of the Pentagon attack, until we discovered that WTC has been attacked as well.
