The Ottoman empire was once the primary Islamic civilization, centered in Istanbul. It was founded by Osman, who moved the nomadic Turks to modern day Turkey to invade the Byzantine Empire.In 1453, the Ottomans invaded and conquered modern day Istanbul, making it their capital until the decay and decline of the Empire led to its fall after World War 1.

Islamic rulers(Ottomans) ruled what is modern day Israel until the British fomented the revolt of the restive Arab population and led to a revolt in 1917/1918 as a strategy to knock the Ottomans out of World War 1 (The Ottomans were allied with Germany) Israel came under British mandate until the formation of Israel in 1947.

Israel did not exist under the Ottomans. Nr were there many jews there.
