I'm very short, in fact i'm the shortest at my high school and i'm tired of people whispering, staring, and such about my height. I'm at least 4'6. I have no facial hair or anything. I don't even look 14. I look 9. Sometimes I think suicide is the only way out. Other times I want to runaway. Please help me.

Hey ... Small people are just as smart as tall people. In High School I was only 4'9" and then I hit a growth spurt and now I am a measly 5'0" I know I am 4 inches taller than you, but look on the bright side Kiddo...You are beautiful just the way God had intended you to be.
My little brother was shorter than I was in High School and now he is a whopping 5'8" He over towers me! I am so jealous!

I think the other kids are just scared of you and that is why they make fun of you...they probably don't know your real age and they are thinking that you are only 9 years old and sooo much smarter than they are!
Hell I think you may be smarter then they are.
hang in there Kiddo! It gets better after High School.
PS...Confront the kids who are making fun of you and try this for a twist make fun of yourself in front of them...show them that you are comfortable with your height and they may just stop there cruel harassment.
I once weighed 200 pounds and I know what it's like to get picked on...but I got through it by picking on myself right along with the rest and it turned everything around for the better now I weigh 125 pounds.

Cheer up!

It is all in the attitude. If you feel confident about yourself, no one is going to pick on you. In fact, when I went to high school, some of the most popular guys were not very tall but we quickly forgot all about their height!

I know it seems like you will never grow but trust me...by the age of 16 you will have a sudden growths spurt!

In the meantime, don't let things people say bother you!! They should just get over the fact that you are short...old news!!

Good Luck!!

:) High school years are the hardest. Like someone said earlier perhaps you want to check out with your parents and talk to a doctor, nutrition sometimes has something to do with it. look for ways but NEVER think that killing yourself is the way out :) after all, high school people start dropping out, becoming junkies, and many will not make it beyond that will you let this kind of people rule your life? I don't think they're worth your worrying or wasting your time to think. One of my reallly good guy friends is shorter than me, I'm 5'4'', and he's in college and a great wrestler! Believe me, where there's a will there's always a way, be strong and believe in the qualities you have ;) fours years go by fast anyway!

Don't even think such thoughts. Believe it you will be out of school sooner then you think. I suggest that you wear shoes that give you some height not too high. Wear long pants. Be happy with yourself and ignore people who have nothing better to do then poke fun @ others. It might not hurt to get a tall friend either.

I know a lot of people who are about the same height as you. In fact, they're often the ones people like. In any case, you are who you are and if people want to make you feel bad because of it, it's their fault. You didn't choose to be your height, and even if you could, what would make you unique from the others?

It doesn't matter how you look on the outside, it really is the inside that counts. But no matter how much we think it is wrong, our first impressions are still based on appearance.

I'm short too, but only 4'10. But i used my height to my advantage, like all my friends call me shorty as a nickname. You can't let people see that your ashamed of your height. If you are really self-conscious about it, then wear high heels, or those sandals that have a slight heel. Don't, please don't, even THINK about suicide. There are way worse things then height in this world to worry about. I'm your age so i kind of understand, but remember suicide is never the answer. And if you want to look older, i wear eyeliner, and mascara. It really helps, just don't go overboard with the make-up!

Look who cares about what other people think!!!!!! You are so young and have so much life to look forward to why would you even think of suicide?? My son who is 13 was also teased about his weight, he took it to heart and started working out and he has lost allot of his weight and things are looking up for him as it will you, you will hit your growth spurt and when you do all things will be better for you, try working out an buff your self up and then you will really give them something to look at! You are a good kid and just because you are teased, hell tease them back! You have you whole life ahead of you, please don't do anything that cant be changed! You are a very special person to your Family and i know you have some friends and they will help you through this! Talk to your parents or your school counselor and they will help you through these times! OK Remember you are very Special!!!!!

You need to seek counseling #1, see the school counselor, or someone. Also, work on your self esteem and self image. Once you realize that it is what's inside that really counts and that God made everyone different, you'll realize your height is really not a problem. It could be worse. You could have no legs, or cancer or something. I realize high school is rough and kids are mean, but remember high school is not the real world. Some day what happened in high school won't even matter to you anymore.

Your body is your tempel, you should be proud of yourself and that you can walk and be mobile, some are no so fortunate, they are teasing you because they know it is bothering you most likely. Get a positive attitude, joke back and say something like I may be short but at least I can......and think of something positive to say about yourself. Suicide is never a way out, you have so much more to life that height. If it gets too bad be sure to seek some counseling at school and home!

It's not that they're being cruel, it's that you're unique! If you have a good attitude and laugh with them instead of just feeling laughed at, you'll get through. Trust me! High School is the hardest part. You have to keep living to get through it and once you're done with the evil teen years, college and adult life ROCK! I know a guy at my work who is short. The girls adore him and the guys think he's cool. Hang in there! I promise that height thing will eventually work out for you! ;) If there are exceptionally rude people around, they're probably jealous of the attention you get. They hate being the "standard". There's nothing special about them.
