I am so sorry for your loss. Are you catholic? If you are have the church candle lit for a week in memory of him or you can Have a service said especially for him on his anniversary or the weekend of that time. I have a relative that did that for her husband who died from Lou Gehrig's Disease 4 years ago. I know this sounds harsh but there is one bright side your husband is not suffering anymore is he? He is in a solemn place. I am sure other religions have other traits to do this. I would also have a family dinner. or visit that persons grave, if there is one. I Sincerely hope this helps you. Stay strong.

Try this. Invite family members over. Make your husbands favorite dinner. Set the table with a place for him. Light a single candle and place it at his spot on the table.
Then sit around and tell stories about him. He will be there listening to you and loving the stories.

first off i am really sorry for your loss! i lost all my grand parents so i know how it feels to lose someone you love!
We'll I would get the family together and go to his grave sight and lay flowers there. Have a moment of silence and go to a restaurant he liked and have dinner and converse and comfort each other.
