mine is 3008 Kbps (downstream) and 512 Kbps (upstream) or 100Mbps. is this SBC/AT&T Yahoo! DSL PRO speed?

100Mbps is the speed of your NIC. Normally if you hover on the Network connection Icon( on the Task bar) you will see that it always shows 100 Mbps.

Perhaps you are referring to 100Kbps. When you download something you will see the speed vary between 300Kbps and 75 Kbps. You have to take the median of this speed and that will be your average speed. If indeed you get 100 Mbps then you are really lucky. Just hope that it stays that way.
