Humidity is the water concentration in the air around us. It's basically how much water is in the air. Water, as some of you may know, has a high specific heat capacity. It can store a lot of heat. Because there's more air in the air, more heat is stored in the air. The air is basically insulating the air around us, and keeping the heat in. This makes it hotter than it should be.
