Not all students are lazy. There are students who really work hard to get ranks.
One of the reason for an individual who may be a student or anybody would be lazy is lack of motivation and lack of burninig desire to achieve something in life.

It's human instinct. Apart from that, it's because many students have realised that grades are not that important in the long run. Would you ask an adult about their score in a school leaving examination? Of course, marks do affect a student's career choice.

It isn't lazy it is efficiency.
Well most of them it probably is lazy. But in order for most of them to make it, they have to cut corners where they feel they can. It is a problem with our modern culture and that they have way too many things fed to them. There is way more to know now a days for kids to have a real grasp of most things. You have to just know top level of things to get buy the underlying things are never asked.

Well To Be Honest
Student are Lazy Because Most Parents won't punish them child if they do not do home work
and same for Teachers too
so that is what We end up too

Its unfortunate, but in our society has become a generation of shortcuts. In everything. My sister got her diploma from a home school where counting out the correct change at a store counted toward math credits and reading a magazine counted as English. Its very sad, but we are producing a generation of underachievers. Not everyone, but we are allowing it for some.

Students are lazy because kids are experiencing things like dating, sex, drugs, and going through tough **** in their lives. Face it, I don't care what anyone says, it's gotten much worse these days. A lot of kids just really don't like school and their tired of being there, to just to put it bluntly..

Kids aren't as naive. Nobody gives a crap what your GPA was after you are in your 20s and nobody cares what college you went to unless it is Ivy League. For all the worry I went through growing up about grades, I really wonder why I did.

From your question it seems we are all a little lazy. No foolin though, SAT scores are significantly lower than in 1963. I think it is the teachers who are lazy.

Because of tech toys,computer games, internet, dvd, movies and cable Tv shows!As well as the effects of artificial food colorings,enhancer and preservatives has a toxic effects in our bodies!Modern life becomes more instants and spoon feeding!

My guess would be because studying sucks (especially the study of those subjects the student will most likely never have any use for).
