They tell kids to say NO to drugs that are NOT prescribed to them by a doctor. The drugs you see on TV are you ones you get prescriptions for from a doctor IF you NEED them. Do you understand the difference?

Drug companies are huge and can afford the primetime airtime. My favorite is when they advertise a drug for, let say, sleep deprivation and show little butterflies flying around then the fast talking announcer says "maycausebloodclotsheartattackstrokeinternalbleedingheadachesanddeath" or something like that. hehehe.

It is like asking why do they advertise alcohol on t.v at night, and advertise cigarettes in magazines...yet they still tell kids not to do it, because the "target audience" is adults not children. It is still wrong, but they aren't "technically" advertising to kids.

If they didn't announce the type of drugs that are out there the parents and teachers could not tell the children which ones are dangerous and to avoid. The Children would not know what medication was illegal and what isn't. I mean doctors do have to prescribe medications for them when they are sick. Doctors also prescribe medications to their parents. How would they know what was and what wasn't illegal if it wasn't announced.

Because the drugs that are easy to make can't be patented, and thus, they can't make as much money on them. Otherwise, they would all be legalized and taxed.
The violence is only supposed to flow downhill, and your money is only supposed to flow UP to the people who are already richer than you.
That's why kids aren't supposed to buy anything from each other, and their parents are supposed to buy drugs from people who are even richer than they are.
If you want change, keep it in your pocket. Your dollar is your vote and the machines don't count.

Because all of the commercials say "consult your physician" or "talk to your doctor". I don't think many heroin pushers or crackheads ever talk to their county supported doctors about their habits...
