well what makes the silver fade is the oxegon
cause the oxegon sucks the color out
so you should like put your sislver in a plastic bag when you dont wear it
and take it to a jeweler to get it re shined

Sterling Silver is many times stamped 925. Older silver it quite is been sitting around for a whilst will exchange into tarnished and look blackish, or have blackish patches on it - exceedingly around any joints. terrific thank you to confirm is to offload it in some Silvo or different silver polish, or you should purchase particular cloths for rings and if it comes up high quality and sparkly that is probable silver. If that is already high quality and sparkly risk is that is another amalgam and not very particular. If it is not stamped a jeweller might probable have the skill to tell you for particular what you have have been given.

About the only thing that I know to tell you is that Sterling silver generally turns a greenish color the quickest (and is more likely to give you a green mark whereever the jewlery is at). The best way that I know of to help keep it from turning though is to put it in a ziploc bag and seal it up with little to no air inside. The air and the moisture in the air is the biggest thing that turns sterling silver. Unfortunately, your best bet is to go with white gold (costs more, but easier to maintain). I've been married just over a year and just washing my hands in soapy water gives both my rings a nice bright shine.

You are confusing white gold and sterling silver. Sterling silver fades, it should be polished regularly to keep it's luster.

silver that does not fade is made about of real silver. jewelry that fades is fake.

also, all jewelry gets dirty. so it's best to get it cleaned at the jewelry shop regulary.

the items to add would be platinum...
so putting a thin coat of it will reduce the wear out effect on your metallic items...
