According to news reports out of the Bahamas, where Daniel Smith died over the weekend....
- Daniel was reportedly vomiting uncontrollably shortly before he collapsed and died.
- "All we know right now is that he was on anti-depressants," one source said. "Some things indicate that he probably overdosed on those drugs."
- The source added that his mother went into a violent rage helplessly trying to revive her son.
- The room where they were "was a total mess," the source added, claiming that vomit and blood were splattered everywhere.
- According to workers in the hospital, seeing Daniel died before her eyes dealt a serious blow to his mother, who fought with the doctors in the room to get closer to her son's lifeless body.
- The source also alleged the medical team was unable to find the proper oxygen supply needed to resuscitate him at the time.
- Anna Nicole Smith recently bought a house in the Bahamas and she had been granetd residency there.
- Media reports are also speculating that she might have had a caesarean section or complications during pregnancy because she was still in hospital three days after giving birth.
This is all so tragic and sad.

I seriously doubt that Anna Nicole had any thought of becoming a "grandma" anytime soon! After all, her son Daniel was still a "baby", himself! There was, and still IS, time for her to have plenty of grandchildren. After all, she just gave birth to a new baby daughter. What a blessing! (Some, like me, were never fortunate enough to have a daughter, OR a son...)
The REAL tragedy is the shockingly unexpected loss of this young man's life. It has to be even MORE shocking due to the fact that he apparently died of natural causes, as opposed to an accident. As far as I know, there were no warning signs, no pre-existing illness. No one would ever expect a 20-year-old to have a fatal heart attack!
As a poor (but beautiful), young, single, teenage mom from small-town Texas in the '80s, "Anna Nicole" - as she renamed herself - rose to fame & notoriety with her small son in tow. I'm sure he has been THE most important person in her life through it ALL! Men come and go - but I'd be willing to bet Daniel meant more to her than anyone, or anything, on earth. Even more than all that old zillionaire's money she still might get.
What REALLY adds the ultimate irony to this shocking & tragic event, is the birth of a baby daughter, only 3 days before. While having a new infant to care for will surely be a consolation for Anna Nicole, the baby must also just as surely be a REMINDER of her loss!
I've always had mixed reactions when it came to Anna Nicole and her controversial attitudes & lifestyle, but my heart goes out to her at this time. Her loss is BOUND to cast a very dark cloud over the joys she SHOULD be feeling at this time. She has my deepest sympathy, and will be in the thoughts & prayers of many, I'm sure.

He was only 20 years old and died in the hospital room of where his mother was resting after giving birth to a baby girl three days earlier. She thought he was asleep and then she tried to wake him up only to find out that he died right there!
She wanted him to live because he was her best friend as well! And, to be happy to have a beautiful daughter as well as a loving son, then to have him die, suddenly, my God. that is sad.

Okay that really wasn't a question, but yeah, that is really sad. I can't imagine going through everything that comes along with having a new baby, and then lose your 20-year-old son just a couple days later. It'll be interesting to see what the cause of death ended up being.

Yes it is very sad if i lost my son you would just have to kill me i would be losing my best friend if something ever happen to him. I could not live with out my baby

yes its is sad, not matter what ppl think off anna you wouldnt wish the pain of losing a child on them. its very sad we just wish her the best in this time

How can anyone make a joke out of someone who lost someone they love. What sad people you are for doing so and I hope you remember the jokes you said when someone you love dies also. Death comes to all....................
