how do i download music to a cd?

You will not be able to download anything directly to a blank CD as there is no filesystem on it. Download your music to a folder. When your burn your CD witha CD writing program like Nero (www.nero.com) it creates a filesystem and then the music files get transferred to the CD.

PC Instructions
Put a blank cd into your computer. Next, open up windows explorer. Next, drag the music files onto the cd, either in drive D or drive E. There should be a little CD icon if the cd is in the drive. Burning the files should take only a minute or two, then you can eject the cd and you're done!
Mac Instructions
I don't know much about macs, but I think I know how to use iTunes fairly well so here goes nothing. Put the blank cd into your computer and open up iTunes. There should be a little icon of a cd in the taskbar at the left hand side where all your playlists are. Drag the songs into a playlist and hit the 'burn disk' icon at the top right corner. iTunes will let you know when the cd is done burning and then you can take it out and use it.

what kind of cd do you want to burn are you burning a regular audio cd or do you want to burn a mp3 cd
