I remember I was in school and it was during 3rd period maybe even fourth. Our teachers were crying running down the halls to tell us what had happend. Our principal though didn't want us distracted so we were not allowed to watch the news in class. All we knew was that 2 planes had hit thr twin towers and all I knew is that my cousin, brother and a friend of the family worked there in the 2nd tower on the 102nd, 98th, and 99th floor. They told us that after school we were to go straight home and make no stops, I didn't make it that far threw the day.
I herd my mom about 10 minutes later hystericaly screaming down the hall way of my class room. We got a call from my cousin saying that she was not at work that day but my brother was. She was still trying to get in touch with him and see if he had made it out. The facts at this point about the condition in the towers was still unknown.
My brothers' body was never found. We miss you Sean and we love you. August 24, 1975 - September 11, 2001 I will never forget that day because I am now left with a void the size of ground zero without my brother.

I had just arrived at my daughter's school, where I was a reading tutor, and was met by the office staff stating that something had just happened in New York and they were trying to turn the news on (school TVs not usually linked to the cable). I was numb the rest of the day as we live near a major AF base that has been said to be an area that would be attacked if terrorists struck America. I was also very concerned about my parents as they were stranded in Belgium (there on a missions trip). It took them a number of days to find a way home.

When I found out i was in my English class on the computer
i didn't know what to think, but who would do something like that?
Off course i was watching the news non stop like everyone else in the world just hoping for the families of firefighters, office workers, and every New Yorker to be strong.
That is a day that would never be forgotten

I was at work. It was going to be one of the best days of my life...I was going to ride on the bus to a concert with my favorite band...I was soooo excited!! Then a co-worker said 2 planes had hit the WTC. I didn't believe him because he tended to tease and joke a lot. Then I saw the bosses turning on the TV in the conference room but didn't think too much about it. Then I heard the radio reports. I went back to the conference room and watched TV with some of my co-workers all morning. I finally went home, totally numb and watched TV all day. I couldn't even cry for several days, but then I couldn't stop.

I was at school, between classes, when I saw that everyone was gathered in the student lounge watching the news...and that's when I went to see what was going on...I remember that this one girl was frantic because her father was on a business trip at the WTC, and she was desperately trying to reach him.

Watching a TV at work in shock and desperately trying to contact my dad and step-mother. He works around DC and she worked in the Pentagon one building over from the crash. Didn't hear from them until after 2pm. Much worrying going on.

I was in fifth grade. I became semi-aware of what was happening in computer class when my teacher turned on the TV. In the next class, my mother signed me out. My live journal has more info (animenutcase is my username).
