well...ive been using it for a few years and it hasnt done anything to my skin. but i guess it really depends on your skin type. if you're really worried about it just dont use it. i bet there are a lot of other things out there to clean your face with. just maybe.

I do know hydrogen peroxide is used to whiten teeth but on skin, it's very damaging! Hydrogen peroxide creates free radicals. Free radicals (oxygen molecules) are in need of electron/s to become stable so when applied to the skin, they "steal" from skin molecules and then these molecules in turn, because of instability, steal electrons from other skin molecules and the process continues. This process not only damages cellular function -- in other words, skin repair won't be as great -- but also, it will prematurely hasten the formation of wrinkles and skin sagging.
BTW, you may hear that hydrogen peroxide works well for acne ... and just for the fact that it's used for wounds but because hydrogen peroxide creates free radicals, it creates an oxygen-rich environment and bacteria cannot thrive in an oxygen-rich environment. That's how bacteria is "killed" but aside from that, you're also "killing" your skin cells.

my boyfriend has really good skin, i asked him what he does, he uses rubbing alcohol every other night. he says it opens up your pores so the dirt doesnt stay in. I tried it, it burned somewhat he said that was a good sign and when i looked at the piece of cotton I couldnt believe how much dirt came off my face. sometimes it dries out my skin but i'll just put moisturizer on it. i dont know about using hydrogen perioxide on my face, i do swish it in my mouth in the morning, my former boss does it, her teeth are really white and she smokes. its tasteless..if you feel it foaming in mouth thats a good sign also.

It may make your skin dry, but peroxide is the same stuff in toothpaste. Its harmful to drink, but I use it on my skin to clean it, and hasnt done a thing to it.

no, but you can use bleach. But, either choice should give you cancer fairly quickly.
How about loving yourself instead? That way, when that finally happens, your skin color will be just fine the way it is
