There is a big purpose behind this Great Org. (int standards org)
That is
To set the quality and same standards internationally!
What i mean by SAME.. is that there are many things , that are same words but with different means in different locations.
Let me give you one example.
10/05/06
this is a date (lol)
but in different locations it means differnet like
1. 10th May 2006
2. 5th Dec 2006
3. 6th May 2010
yes it happens critical when you read a date are your flying ticket and then surprise to know that that was not what you think!!!
So ISO has set this standard

How great format is this, but not implemented still by many of big org.....

are you refering to .iso like cd image files?

The idea behind it is good....standards and continuous improvement.
