Deppression era writers. Boo Radley was as unknown as Lenny. Steinback only wrote a handfull of books that were not well known untill later. Harper Lee only wrote Mockingbird.

Hmm, it's been many many years but both Of Mice and Men and To Kill a Mockingbird have a character that is retarded and both are under suspicion of having committed violence....so there is stereotyping and discrimination due to their disability...hope that helps.

Both show some form of discrimination, for example, when Lennie is teased for being mentally handicapped in OMaM, and obviously the black racism in TKAM. Both of the titles are metaphors for things that happened in the story, but i think you should think a little about that on your own. Hope I helped!
