This summer (2007) I turn 16 and my mom has been asking me what I want for my birthday. I know, she like to shop early, but I have not the slightest clue as to what I want. I have pretty much everything. Yes, I am very fortunate. What should I ask for that I would genuinely appreciate? And don't say a car, my dad is getting me a Ford Escape. Go me!

Is there somewhere special you would like to visit? Mybe you can ask you mom to take you on a special trip. Make memories with her that you'll always treasure.

You could also ask her to throw you a sweet sixteen party.

Maybe gift certificates to your favorite stores.

A new computer or a digital camera.

If there is an upcoming concert that you would like to go to, maybe she could get you great seats to it.

One year my mom helped me redecorate my bedroom as a birthday gift, that was lots of fun. (of course i like that kind of thing!)

You could ask her to donate money to a charity in your name. (since you say you have everything you want, why not spread the happiness?)

If I think of anything else, I'll add more. Hope this helps, and happy (really early!) sixteenth birthday!

Ask you parents for a post dated check for $2000, dated for some date after you turn 18. Make a contract with them that if you follow their rules, you may have that check on that date. This does not mean that if you almost make it to the date, or your offense is a minor violation, so you should get some of the check. It is an either all or none.

I have to gifts for you, one is a suggestion. Consider reading the book, 10 Stupid Tings Women Do To Mess Up Their Lives. There is also one for boys if you have brothers. The other you can get by clicking on my image. Go to my Yahoo 361 page. There you will find a pie chart that should be useful to you in understanding why your parents will not let you do the things adults can do. Right click and save it to your computer, than print it.

Wow. You came online to ask for suggestions on what to get you for your bday. A little full of yourself eh? maybe you could ask for a monetary donation to a charitable organiztion where kids are not as fortunate as you.

Go on a trip with your friends. Stay somewhere thats right on the beach, like Key West...its real cool there. Definately something with your friends tho, cuz you will remember that forever... Or maybe an all inclusive trip, like jamaica, and its fun going on a plane with your friends...

As you are so fortunate, why not ask your mother to donate to a charity in your name instead of buying a gift?
