There's no need to read the next book though, I can tell you what happens. She shops!!!! This time for baby things and can't or won't stop herself from spending money because she's still teh selfish, immature moron she's always been. She hides the bills from her dumb husband, she goes crazy buying "cute" baby things and at the end of the book (the last 3 pages) she finally realizes that motherhood isn't about having cute baby things-- she understands this because the baby spits up all over the cute clothes, ruining them and likes 1 little rattle more than the 1000's of toys in the room.
Yawn. Hasn't Kinsella overcooked the whole shopaholic thing to death?
