Asking question for my father...he has attempted to put another motor in 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP 3.4L...this is the second one, the first he got in and got car started but head gaskets were blown..he had to pull that one out and put this one in....it will not start...he purchased a Code Reader...it displays "P0122" TPS low; P0123" TPS high ; "P0325" knock sensor circuit fault; where is Knock sensor located on engine? the reader also displayed "Quad driver 1 bad and Quad driver 2 bad" what is a Quad Driver? and where is it located ? He's a "shade tree" mechanic...and everyone he has asked either "don't have a clue"...or it's the "coil", it wasn't ... it's the "computer", it wasn't...or "you can bring it in and we'll take a look at it" ( the dealership wanted about $800 for a tune up!) ...his repair manual is not as in depth as needed...any ideas, suggestions (i suggested he blow it up-he did not agree) will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

TPS is throttle position sensor is a common failure $20... they can be tested with OHM's meter

Until the engine reaches a certain rpm all functions are controlled by the engine control module located near the coil packs..have it tested...have the coils tested while your there.

On the side of the engine closest to the firewall. It is almost directly under the middle exhaust port of the exhaust manifold about 2 or 3 inches down.
I would say its the Oxygen Sensor.

All of these errors could have somethiong to do with TPS

the quade drivers 1&2 are inside the computer&are not replaceble only by replacing the computer itself. you might try changing the prom in the computer. #2 the knock sensor is a round silver sensor with either awhite or blk spout in the center with 1 wire leading to it can be in the rear of the engine under the manifold next to the firewall&some are in the ft under the manifold or can be on the bottom on either side or have 2 1 on each side of the oil pan [note not all but some are screw into water jackets it advances&retards timming without the knock sensor timming stayes retarded causing poor engine porformance&also can cause other codes like tbs&o2 sensor ect.
