Any actors/actresses have tips for a beginner...well i have acted in two plays but that was in 4th and 5th grade...im in 8th now........any tips please provide em! Thanks

im happy about starting to act again....its just my mom doesn't actually believe i even have a chance.......

im in 8th grade and only had the chance to be in 2 plays, i was in bye bye birdie and forgot the other one, cuz i had a lot of stuff going on....but im starting this year again.........and hope to get a lot better at acting..........

I'm in 7th grade and have been in about 12 productions- with leads in every one..... No matter what career someone has they have tool they need...a plumber needs wrenches, and screws. His tool some in a toolbox. Actors tools are within them. Some of the tools that will make you a better performer are the following:
Volume
Eye contact
Focus
Expression (face and voice)
Levels (dont stand the whole time- make it interesting for the audience!)
Dont turn your back to the audience
Gestures
ENERGY! It makes the difference!!!
SMILE!!!
If the plumber doesnt have tools he wont do his job well- if anactor doesnt use their tools they wont do well either!
Also, listen to the teachers and always have a smile on! HAVE FUN!!!

The best thing to do is to talk to other actors and actresses. One of my favourite places is http://www.hollywoodnorth.com
Make sure you have your parents permission though.

Be serious about whatever you're into,relax and let the role become a part of you and never let your audience see your nervousness!!!
