Somewhere over the Rainbow and the artist is Israel Kamakawiwo (Last name may be wrong but it is some Hawaiian version not Judy Garland's original)

A million different people sang it. I believe the original was Judy Garland. It's not listed on the 50 First Dates Soundtrack but not every song from a movie always makes it onto the soundtrack. If this isn't it you can check the samples here and see if you recognize it.

Over The Rainbow

Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true

Some day I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemondrops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I?
Some day I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemondrops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I?

If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?

Israel Kamakawiwo Ole' - Somewhere Over The Rainbow Lyrics

"One of the most unusual versions was recorded by the late Hawaiian singer Israel Kamakawiwo'ole whose medley of "Rainbow" and Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" was featured on the soundtrack of the films Meet Joe Black, Finding Forrester, and 50 First Dates. "

Hope this is the song you wanted!

It is Somewhere over the Rainbow, it's done by a local Hawaiian I believe that is name is Izzie. But I am not really sure that's how you spell it, but I am here in Hawaii I am not a local we are stationed here my husband is in the Navy, but I will do some checking and let you know! The Movies was filmed here and they used his version of the song in the movie, he has past away now but is a really big Icon here!

It is sung by a Hawaiian guy by the name of Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. His album that has this song on it is called Facing Future and it was released in 1993. We have it on iTunes on our computer, i love that song, and that movie!
