I doubt the pain you are experiencing is because the hymen has not been broken. Simple activities like jumping rope or doing gymnastics as a little girl can break the hymen without ever even noticing. If you want to attempt it as a potential remedy however, yes, it can be done medically.

Some women have really thick hymens while others are lucky enough to have really thin ones that break while they are doing a simple cartwheel at the age of 12. Go to the doctor - that way you'll know if it's your hymen that is causing the pain during intercourse. I am absolutely sure the doctor can break it with very little discomfort on your part.

Depends on the person, It will bleed though. You will spot for a couple of hours up to a couple of days. Also the more contact you have with your hymen(sexual activity) the more it will bleed the first few times. It also depends on how active you are. If you play a lot of sports you won't bleed as bad or as long. You should wait a long time before making that choice. Boys don't care about you at this age or anytime soon, you will only get your heart broke!

Ok, It really bothers me when ppl think they know what they are talkin about. I work at a surgical center, and there are plenty of woman that have what is called a hymenectomy, it is a surgical procedure that removes the hymen. Some women have thicker hymens than most women. It is a short procedure and is somewhat uncomfortable but not bad. Recovery time is about 2 weeks. There is a little pain but, the vagina has a very quick way about healing itself and there is little bleeding. You would be very glad you did it.

There are 4 types hymen one of which need surgical intervention. yours also may be that type of hymen.
If you can check your self with mirror you can confirm it. You need mirror and good light.
go to bed and remove your clothes and separates the legs and place the mirror in front of your genitalia and separate the labia and you can see the vaginal opening this is covered by hymen but your hymen may be separated by band (top to bottom ) then the room for penis is not enough during intercourse and you get pain during intercourse so you need surgical intervention
doctor can do it under local anesthesia without any pain or complications
just check with the mirror if you see your vaginal opining is separated by band then seek medical advise

You know, I don't believe it is possible to break a hymen without pain--or at least discomfort. (It is possible for a doctor to DO.) Mine was broken by a tampon, and it was extremely uncomfortable and painful.
Continue to have sex. Eventually, your body will adjust. I know that that sounds awful, but trust me. If you think there may be a problem, go to your gynocologist and find out what is going on. Also, if you are using condoms, you might want to stop--or go to the ultrathin ones. Condoms add extra width, and that can increase pain. Also, don't use ribbed condoms, as that will irritate.

Yes they can, they make a small incision to it or they can simply use a speculum to open up the vagina and use a pair of hemostats to do it. Having an unually thick is not uncommon....
Just call your Dr, or a nurse practioner at your local health dept to see if they can assist you in this....

Of course it's an option, but surgery should be your last resort. A good lubricant will help you, also could have to do with being tense.... easier said than done, but reeeelaaaaxxxxx.... and learn to enjoy....
