I don't think that the sex is identifiable until the 4th month at the EARLIEST.

It is *possible" that the 14 weeks ultrasound scan result is right...especially if it showed the result as a boy instead of a girl.
There is a chance, however, it could be wrong as the best earliest time to determine sex via Ultrasound is somewhere between 18 to 20 weeks. You may imagine your baby as being a boy for now. However, you may want to wait another 4 to 6 weeks before going out and shopping for baby clothings and such just to make sure. When diagnosed as a girl (even at 20 weeks) there is a little chance that the baby might come out as a boy and give you a surprise. It's because that little boy gem is hidden from the view and not captured on ultrasound scan. Best of the luck to you and baby!

i dont think so. a friend of mine went for an ultrasound later than that and they told her it was a baby boy. she bought blue EVERYTHING for the bedroom and clothes and things. When she had her BABY GIRL she asked why they thought it was a boy and they said that his thumb or something may have gotten in the way and made it look like a ...... anyway the doctor admitted that he wouldn't even buy things based on what a doctor says his baby will be because the accuracy isnt that great!

Ya' know that's kinda early... but I was around the same stage of my pregnancy when they told me I was havign a girl and at my "offical sexing" ultrasoudn I was havign a girl. So yes it is too early to know 100% but it is possible. Don't run out an dbuy anything yet... good luck:)

14 weeks is a little early to tell but you gotta think they do that for a living...and if he's anything like my little boy he's proud to show it....I was 20 weeks when they determined the sex of my baby and they probably could've found it at 14 weeks he was proud and stood tall!! lol

They told me that I was having a boy three different times. He is definitely a boy! Although I still had my doubts until he was born!

I'm really surprised they'd venture to take a guess THAT early.
Don't buy all blue just yet...I'm thinking I was at least 20 weeks before they said it was possible to know and gave me a good estimate.

they cant see that early if it is a boy or girl, that means you are only 3 months and 2 weeks, there is no way, none at all, try 6 months or so. if your lucky.
