Ok my friends mom hits her all the time she's whipped her with a phone charger cord and gave her a scar! She absolutly refuses to tell any adults she told me in confidence that I wouldn't tell ANYONE (now this doesn't count because I'm not telling who it is or anything) but, I want to know how I can help her without telling anyone, like how can I make her happy or feel safe? She has a stepdad and an older brother but they don't care, her brother beats her too, How can I help?

First I would like to say I am glad you are asking for help for your friend. What is going on with your friend is bad,I am sorry she is having to go through this, and its good she has you to talk to.You need to see if you can talk her into going to your school guidance office and talk to them, tell her if she wants you will go with her.The guidance counselor won't call her parents and tell them what she has said,By law they are not allowed to.The counselor will be able to help her out.If things are bad they will get her help without her parents knowing she has said anything. If she won't go you could go to the counselor your self and they won't say you told them.I hope this helps you and your friend.

This may not be what you want to hear but if you are really the friend to this girl as you say you are then you now the right thing to do. YOU HAVE TO TELL THE POLICE!!!!! This girl is being tormented beyond imagination. She only thinks that there is no way out. If you don't intervene then a phone charger will not be the only WEAPON that is used to emotionally scar this girl for life.

How old is your friend? If she is close to 18 than you might want to help her get into a school or a job where she has a place to stay. Unfortunately everyone is right with reporting it because even if she's mad at you - she is alive and will be checked on so her mom can't hurt her as much. Take pictures and keep notes and be there for her. Good Luck!

My Dad beat me the whole time I was growing up, I didn't tell anyone either, but I secretly wished someone would come and help me. I know your friend is scared but she has to know you will be there for her and help her through this. Make sure you tell her everyday it is not her fault and she does not deserve this treatment. Secretly you should seek help, even if its through a teacher. Has anyone else noticed the bruises or scars? Someone has to have seen or heard something.

I really know you think you're doing the best thing by not telling any adults for your friend... but you're not! You're friend needs help... go with her to a school consular, social services or the police!! If you don't this could possible result in her death!! It has happened before and it could very well happen to your friend, so please help her by holding her hand and telling an adult who can help!!

You need to report it. Your friend will be mad at you at first but once her mom stops and is taken away, she will feel safe and will thank you. But even if she doesn't know that you have helped her in the best way possible.

First of all you need to take pictures of your friend with date and time on them after she is abused. After you do this, go to her parents and tell them you have pictures of the abuse they caused their daughter. Tell them that if you find out it has happened again, you will go to the police and have them both sent to jail. If it happens again, do just that. DCFS and the police should both be brought into the picture. They will go to jail. Good luck.

I know your friend told u not to tell anyone but you could save her life by telling someone you trust such as your mom or dad. She might get mad at you for telling but isn't it better to have her alive and well?

You can call childrens services and have your report be anonymous.

Sometimes you have to go against their wishes to ultimately do what is best for them, in a life threatening situation.
