the link above is to the question.
as for me being a canadian citizen of native american decent, that would only demonstrate that i have nothing to gain here, i am not saying this because i am a liberal or anyother reason such as that, i am an un-bias person who has reviewed evidence supporting bush as well as evidence against him and believe he is wrong, why must people always find a way to dicredit me and my views in this manner. i am often told to butt out and **** off simply because i am not american.
why?

I hate to say it, some of us would rather use arrogance than rationale when it comes to considering non-American opinons. Its encouraged by our leadership
I guess they didn't tell you that when you crossed the border eh?
Welcome to the USA, bro

No matter the good intent and awareness that you are trying to achieve by posting such a question it is always going to fall on some ears that do not want to hear such things.
It is very hard to accept that your country men can commit such atrocities and it is very hard to see the atrocities that are enacted on them.
It is a well known adage that the victors always rewrite the history of war.
Were you aware that after the D-Day landings, there are stories the countrymen the Germans were most scared of being caught by were the Canadians . That atrocious acts were carried out by them. A Canadian veteran friend of mine (now dead) told me several horrific stories.
We the British committed offences down in the Falklands, I am aware of these from first hand experience of witnessing.
No country is proud of such things and we probably want to hide them away, but it does happen, and that is unfortunate.
We must not forget the ultimate reason why we are in these countries and innocent people will get hurt, this has always happened in wars.
I am sorry and it does offend me as much as it offends you.

I too am a Canadian citizen.
But I have never experienced rudeness of any significance from Americans.
My viewpoint is right of center and mildly but not completely supportive of the current US administration, which puts me at odds with about half of the people on this site.
I do not however, bash politicians specifically or by name. I take exception with specific policies and with certain ideologies, but do so in as moderate and respectful tone as possible.
Our politicians US or Canadian are elected by free people and can not be reasonably compared with Osama, Hitler, Saddam, or third world crackpots in general.
Democracy rests on the idea of give and take and compromise. You don't have to agree with everyone or anyone, but you have to abide with the will of the majority.
Until the next election.
I also understand that Canadian freedoms and social services that we take for granted are underwritten by American willingness to shoulder our defence burden.
We tend to be unreasonably arrogant about the morality of our nation.
For years, Canadian governments have spent way less on defence per capita than countries like Denmark, Norway or Sweden and then arrogantly chastised the US for being overly aggressive.
Any other country on the border of a superpower would not have our standard of living or security.
I am going to suggest that you are probably too young to remember the Cold War, so you may temporarily forgiven for not being grateful that America under president Reagan saved the world from Nuclear holocaust and communist aggression.
You do not have to love America (although I do) but you should be respectful as no other nation on Earth today is better suited to be the sole superpower.
Including ours.

i do not see individuals slamming your head honcho. Ever. yet to come back and slam OUR president whom i imagine is doing the right ingredient is something else. I keep in mind that you may no longer like the conflict - yet we've were given sufficient Bush Bashers in our own united states. My own opinion is in case you do not vote, can't vote why sit down there and slam him? How has him being president truly affected you? the surely way is the conflict. what percentage troops did you know? have you ever been? the folk the following that are there or were there and the persons whose lives the following concentration around the armed forces by using spouses/moms and dads, various friends etc know what they let us know about being in Iraq. that is why we help the conflict. So why do you come back the following and stir **** with the help of dissing the armed forces by using a pair of undesirable ones? Why might want to someone come the following and mean that individuals would not be dissatisfied if one of ours replaced into killed with the help of canadian pleasant hearth. I for one have not even given a idea to american/canadian/australian making those comments, yet now that it truly is being stated with the help of canadians possibly I might want to?

doesn't really take guts to post something on yahoo answers. If your e looking for being taken seriously, get out and travel, write books, publish opinions in something that would give you credibility for your accomplishments. Maybe you can talk on the radio or something. Here you are on equal ground and anything anyone knows about you is what you tell them, and anything you read is what anyone can write because I don't think you need any accomplishments to post here.

guys, do remember this.... this site is browse from all over the world. different nationalities... sometimes our convictions are different from yours (for we may not have known the rumours spreading on your country about this or that personality). much like in our country, th philippines... you see our president as doing great, but here, many filipinos just want to kick her butt... same as bush, many americans want to bury him alive, but other nationalities see it differently.
just this, if one's conviction differs from yours... just take the context of one's answer. if it suits your ideals or principles, then listen to it's reason. if you don't agree with someone's ideals, ignore it, but also, look at his reason (or just drop it)...
i have nothing against you nor bush nor anyone else... i just express my point of view and opinion... is it too much too ask then? wouldn't you want your voice be heard too? or your ideals be listened to in a different neighborhood where you're not welcome or known? don't we all matter?
ps i do apologize if i have offended anyone, just want equality and respect to reign in this site... would it be okay, then?
