I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but, get over it. Discovery Channel has about 5 different made for tv movies, and countless doumentaries. A&E and History Channel as well has many specials on the subject of 9/11. They sell most of them on DVD.
And if the families didn't want to see these movies, or were against them being made so soon, why would they contribute to the making of them? Many of the families were involved in the making of many of the movies regarding Flight 93. And in the specials about the towers, people who were in the towers are interviewed. As well as the widows, widowers and siblings of the people who were killed.
And if you do think its too early and it offends you, theres a simple solution...DON'T SEE THE MOVIE. No one is forcing it on you.
As for the coins. Does it matter? Some people collect coins and the WTC coin is probably one they'd like to own. If they are willing to pay X amount of dollars thats there business...no matter how weird it might be.

I think it's discusting! Nobody should profit financially from the tradgedy. Capitalizing on someone elses sorrows, is just plan wrong. Continuing to make films like this, is just total disrespect of the people that died and the people that lost loved ones. Documentary's I can understand. It is a part of our history, as tramadic as it was. We must learn from 9-11. Sometimes I wonder if we have though, we don't seem as united as we did after it happened. People don't have long memories. Fight and argue is all republicans and democrats do.. Accuse each other of causing the problems, when really they should be working together to solve these issues. We talk about peace in the middle east. What about peace in the United States of America. How can we teach others about peace if we aren't peaceful ourselves? Just my opinions, sorry for rambling..

Yeah I feel that way too. I know part of the reason is to honor those who have fallen, but we all know money plays a big part of it too for Hollywood. It bothers me how quickly Hollywood made World Trade Center. It's only been 5 years since then, I thought it was a bit too soon.

Yes, but people do things like this all the time. After Princess Diana was killed, did you see all the merchandise that was being sold with her picture on it?Yes, it's disgusting but it makes money...That's all that the people who make these films care about...Didn't you know Hollywood was discusting already? It isn't right to make big profits off of tragedy..I'm not going to watch any of those series, after all, I and you know what happened. 9-11 was a tragedy but I think people making huge profits off of the deaths, injuries, and emotions is ranking on up there with it. It's just sorry..

Yes!! I mean in know its important to remeber 9-11 but i think all these movies are a bit too much...& i think they should have made them like 10 years after, not 3 or 5!! the families of the victims aren't ready to see them yet.

If Hollywood had a heart and not worried about building their already overstuffed pocketbooks, they would take all the profits and give it the families of the victims. They are the real unsung heroes and should profit from this tragic story.
