We're in 2006. Why are there still wars everywhere?

The reason that there are still wars and conflicts today is that people still want to grab power, land, or force their views over others. It doesn't help that since World War II the United Nations has tried everything in it's power to prevent another major world war. To do this, they often allow more violent regional conflicts and when they do enter into a conflict they do so to create a forced peace versus a victory.

because the world is finally waking up to the old muslim ways trying to take over. People are begining to stand oup for themselves and not allow these dictators to take control. Thus there are wars everywhere. There will keep being wars until the word infidel is gone and fundametalists learn that they cannot defeat the will of the world, the liberty of all the people.

Because man is still an animal. Our closest cousin the Chimpanzee is as murderous as we are. The only superhumans are people like gandhi and martin luther king. They have overcome their animal natures and this is why they had divine powers. They could achieve with simple words what America cannot achieve with a 1000 f-15 fighter planes.

Humanity will eventually outgrow war in the modern sense, but I doubt any of us will live long enough to see it happen.
