I almost will go with that, Maybe the ability to be able to read and write, add 2+2 doesn't hurt either. Too many special interest groups for sure. Why not give the presidential race the same amount of TV and add space. At no cost to anyone. Make the field as even as possible. blah blah blah Politics

You can pass or fail an IQ test if you put a pass or fail mark on it.

The whole problem with democracy is that the government is only as powerful as the people are. XD

So of course it would be better if stupid people couldn't vote. By increasing the intelligence of the people you increase the power of the government because it becomes a peoples government.

However, instead we let the dumb people vote and rely heavily on social distractions to turn people away from important things like politics so the government can do a shitty job.

And no, the smartest people in the country never run it.

I don't know that an IQ test is necessary, but I sure think a history and current political events test would be nice.

What I well and truly wish to see is an end of going to vote and seeing something like 26 different language voting pamphlets. I'm sorry, if I move to a non-English speaking country, I am not gong to expect the government to change for my refusal to learn their language adequately. If you can't read English well enough to read a voting ballot, you shouldn't be a citizen, much less have the right to vote.

I can certainly agree that we have a lot of stupid people voting. Although, everyone has the right to do so. If you really want a say in your government, try to be a page for your congress(wo)man (I'm not sure how old you are) or volunteer at a candidate's campaign whom you support. You can back the one you want and maybe you can trick those retards and old people into voting for your person.

The people with the highest IQ's are already running this country. They work for multinational corporations and apply their knowledge to exploiting YOUR ignorance of the world and your blind faith in Systems of Systems which mold your opinions and take your money. They assign dollar values to your work, which is the same as using money to represent your life. Then, they trade money, raise interest rates, move capital overseas as though it is just 'money', all the while devaluing YOUR life.

If you want change, keep it in your pocket. Your dollar is your vote and the machines don't count.
The corporations don't care if the 'votes' come from you or your retard friends. They just keep on providing you with 'services' and 'products' which are killing the planet and our humanity; "Always Low Prices".

Can't do that. More than half of the population of the US could not pass. Was not Bush put into office by those of lower IQ?

What if you didn't pass it? For example.... "run"... not "ran", and why is "Retard" capitalized???

There really is no such thing as "passing" an IQ test.

Do you really want to bring back the days of selective suffrage? I don't think that you should be championing this cause.

I like the idea, b/c it doesn't seem like people who can't think clearly/reason properly should be allowed to make decisions about the country.

But like the laws that prevented African-Americans from voting by requiring a reading test, there's just too much room for abuse in a policy like this.
