I have never heard of them till today. Are they real or lab created?

Mint sapphires are corundum with a pale green colour. In the natural stones the colour, which is caused by iron, is rarely very attractive as it often has a vague hint of blue in it. The colour can sometimes be improved by heat treatment but the results are unpredictable. Synthetic sapphires are produced in a whole range of greens from emerald colour onwards. So if you find a sapphire with a good, bright green colour it is a safe bet that it is a lab. product.

There are green sapphires, but I don't know if that's the same as mint. I also am not sure if they are man-made or natural. Sorry.
