Without our troops protecting us where would our freedom be? When we went to war, our American Spirit was high shouldn't we keep it this way so our troops know we support them?
We are still free unlike others, still have the right to go and do as we please.

A lot sadder than I have on any of the previous anniversaries, and I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because my own life is in a state of flux right now, and I'm empathizing even more with the families and the friends whose lives were turned upside down that day.
Or maybe it's just because time makes me more melancholy and missing the ones I love who aren't here any more. Again, I think I'm feeling it even more for the ones who died and the ones left behind five years ago.
I've never been convinced that the war was the answer, but I admit that there's a lot more about the world balance of power that I don't understand than I actually do. All I can think of is that saying from the '60's and 70's:
An eye for an eye and an ear for an ear only leaves the world blind and deaf.

I'm sick of seeing the tv networks, etc., making a buck, or millions of bucks, off the deaths of so many innocent people, and pretending to be "patriotic" about it. The only "patriotism" the media knows is their own bank accounts and "mirror, mirror, on the wall, . . .". God Bless the REAL Americans, the one's who authentically have valid feelings about the attack, and aren't trying to make a buck off of it. Is this war still necessary?? If this were September 11, 1944, would you think that war was still necessary? If your answer to my question is "yes", then your answer to your own question should be yes. They're both the same thing!! God Bless you.

Sadness its hard to explain to my son who I was carrying at the time 5 yrs ago what happened that day. He knows thats bad people hurt America that day with airplanes and thats is why the soldiers are fighting today to help keep America safe. Is war necessary...maybe..........maybe not ....................but honestly there are probley things that we dont know and dont need to know as civillians about the war. The news has been just as much an enemy to us as any thing else. The bottom line is SUPPORT the troops, No one "asks" to go overseas to conflict. Its part of the game protect honor & serve. Serving means doing what your told. Our job is to support these brave people no matter what your view is on the war GOD BLESS AMERICA

Hey it was 11-9 here yesterday ( In Australia )
I don't want to be rude,
But because our icons Peter Brock & Steve Irwin Todd Chipp and Colin Thiele, have died they have been dominating our news last week, we only had a small tribue on 9-11..
And i burnt a white candle,
But as i am sure you may be able to understand , We are quite removed from America, John Howard has not been making any speeches as he came under fire for even being involved in the war...
I don't believe in war, it has just made the world worse

I'm sad and MAD to think that innocent people died. I don't like war, and I'm not sure we're in the right place. However, I think America needs to punish those who are responsible. I don't think we should just sit back and turn our cheeks from terrorist attacks! They're going to keep trying.

Today, it seemed that not even one teacher mentioned this. Not even the World History teacher. So, no it did not make an impact on me in todays anniversary.
