This could be your mucus plug that came out. I wouldn't worry too much unless your water breaks or you start having contractions. It could also be that the doctor loosened the plug and that is what it is. If your doctor is not concerned about this, then I would not worry. At 39 weeks, your risk should be pretty minimal. Remember that you know your body better than anyone else. If you feel that there is something wrong, then act on it right away. If you think that you can wait to see your doctor in the morning, then chances are you will be okay. Just pay attention to any sign of labor.
By the way, is your pregnancy a high risk (other than the rash)? If so, there may be need for some concern. Is the baby still moving normally and everything feel okay?
I wish you the best of luck, and congratulations on your baby! I hope all goes well for you in every way!

Bloody show is typical after an exam this late in pregnancy. Just keep an eye on it, watch for small clumps, or increased bleeding, you maybe losing your mucus plug if you have not done so yet. I have had my cervix stripped with 2 of my 4 pregnancies, and only 1 time did i go into labor within 24hrs of the procedure. just watch and dont get scared... good luck!!

Bloody show is usually a small mixture of blood and mucous. What you are probably seeing is some blood related to the exam you had today. And just so you know, it is not uncommon for Dr.'s to use their finger around your cervix to try to get it to thin, it is a rather common medical practice.

Bloody show is usually mucus containing some blood...it is normal to spot some blood after an exam, especially when he stretched your cervix...

Bloody show basically looks like snot with blood in it. Sounds gross but its true. Kind of like when you blow your nose and its dry. Think mucus with veins as a visual. It can come out in pieces or in one big chunk. To help you can also have sex with your hubby/boyfriend and let him ejaculate inside of you. There is an enzyme in sperm that will eat away at the plug. I know it kinda sounds gross and really uncomfortable but it might help. Just try it "doggie style" with a couple pillows supporting your tummy and chest and tell him to be gentle. Hope everything works out.

Well, my bloody show looked something like 1-2 tablespoons of blood. I didn't think I was having it because everyone had told me that it was much worse.

Thats not really an appropriate question on here.. Too many idiots. But the answer is.. a bloody show is when the cervix are getting ready to open and your "water" is going to break. Just your body getting ready for a normal experience. No worries!!
