My rabbit Precious accidentally had babies. They are now a week old. Does anyone have advice on finding good homes for them when older?

Well she didn't accidentally have babies but I accidentally got her pregnant. You see, I have this front room with all my bunnies. I felt bad for Peanut Butter Cup(dad) because he was in his cage. I put all the other rabbits inside their cages and lert peanut out in the front room. Somehow unfixed Precious got out. Oh and firsat of all Peanut was supposed to get fixed three days b4 they were "together". But we didn't have a car. Now we have six adorable babies! They are starting to open their eyes...Aww!!!

Isn't it amazing how things like this can happen...bunnies sure can figure out how to get out of their cages at the strangest times! The best thing you can do is make sure that you wait until the bunnies are at least 8 weeks old before you take them away from mom. After that, they'll be fully weaned and will have had enough time with their sibblings to learn how to be good, confident bunnies. You always want to charge at least a small fee so that you know the people coming for the bunnies are serious about keeping the bunny safe and healthy. You can post ads on Yahoo! for free, and Craiglist.org is another site that you can go through that's free to post. The other thing to do is go to your local pet stores and see if they'll let you put up a flyer announcing the coming babies. Make sure to leave a contact phone number on the flyers so that people who are interested can contact you for further information. Hope it helps!

Call your local vet offices and see if they can give you the number for a "rabbit rescue" group. Someone will know the proper number. Also, did you know that rabbits can be spayed and neutered? You should have that done. If you put an ad in the paper, you might be giving a bunny to a mean person, that's why a rescue group is a better choice. Good luck to you and your bunny!!

Try craigslist. when they get older, seperate the males from females. And when you do sell them, avoid giving them for free. They may end up as food for a snake or in the hands of an animal abuser.
Hope that helps.

hehe I don't think Precious found it very accidental. Anyway congrats on baby bunnies, aren't they adorable? I suggest posting up papers at different stores/restaurants near your home telling people about your bunnies.

This article will give you a lot of excellent advice -
http://www.bio.miami.edu/hare/surpriselitter.html
As it says, please do not separate them from their Mum until they're eight weeks old - earlier than eight weeks will cause them possibly fatal digestive problems for the rest of their lives.
Enjoy your bunny family, and good luck to you all!

Send them to a shelter. It's much safer there than in you're cage.
