I think if we are celebrating persidents day and martin luther king jr day.... then maybe we should have a day where schools actually recognize this day... My school only said the preamble to dec. of ind. who agrees we should have something more memorial for this day... Send answers if u agree or disagree i want both opinions

I lost my grandfather in 9/11. No body at school said nothing today. My friends said do you know what today is and I was like yesh and told them and stuff and they comforted me throughout the day. I wasn't all that close to my grandfather because he was a stuck up rich snob, but I still lost a loved one.

As for the school, did nothing. I got in trouble by one of my teachers for coming into class crying.

Today was a crappy day for me!

Do I think it needs to be a recognized holiday? YES

Do I think that schools should get the day off? NO

Too many have long forgotten about that day. I don't recommend dwelling on it. But we can never forget. I for one will never forget, along with many others I know. I lost 2 very dear friends that day. 1 was on flight 11 and the other was in tower 2. I still cannot watch the coverage without crying.

This event has touched many people in different ways. It's the people it hasn't made any impact on that scares me.

It wasn't just an attack on The Twin Towers, The Pentagon, and The White House (Shanksville, PA), ***It was an attack on the American people, the American way of life***

If we cannot stand up and defend that, then heaven help us all!

Good luck and God Bless!

If 6 years in the past you get carry of into an twist of destiny and received a foul awful down-to-the-bone gash on your chest..... ......and each 365 days on the anniversary of the twist of destiny, you took a knife and re-opened the semi-healed wound...... what's the point of it? existence is going on. Wars have continuously occurred, people have continuously been violent. examine some heritage, faith and hatred walk at the same time by time. The Spanish Inquisition and the Crusades come to ideas besides! 9/11 is basically a mosquito chew contained in the heritage of the international. WW II value tens of millions of lives with the help of evaluation. in case you want to shop in ideas, then you definately may discover your way. yet why stress others to shop in ideas surely because you want to? possibly others attempt to get on with their lives and favor to enable the previous proceed to be buried contained in the previous.

Ok. First. Preamble to Declaration of Independence?

Genius, there is no such thing.

And we have a moment of silence. Also, our principal said some cheesy poem. (seriously, it wasn't patriotic or anything. just cheesy)

Much worse things happen every day. We shouldn't forget it, but don't overdo it.

No, I don't think it should be an excuse for a day off. It's a serious day when we can remember the tragedy, not a day to go out and celebrate.

9/11 reminds us why we are in the middle east. The world is a stage.
