It was NY's mayor who had to provide leadership to the country, while Bush cowered in hiding.

I have to respectfully disagree. He ran like a scalded cat.

And he didn't show his face until days later in New York City at a staged event.

His behavior on 9/11 was pathetic and weak.

Bush never cowered in hiding and the NY's mayor, its Rudy Guiliani by the way, only provided leadership to the city. Don't get me wrong if Guiliani runs for office he's got my vote, but he had no authority to run anything out side of the city. Some of you people are so blinded by hate you can't see anything clearly can you.

Oh yes I remember so very well! I wondered if he had left the country. It was too long not to hear from our leader on such a devastating occasion.

It reminds me of the famous Ted Kennedy speech at the Democratic National convention about Gb senior: entiltled "Where was George? "He;s like an ostrich with his head buried in the sand"
We could say that about GWB also.

You have no idea what you're talking about because in emergency situations, the Secret Service has the responsibility to ensure the safety of the President. You would not be asking such a silly question if your idol "Slick Willy" was there. By the way, you talk like some fearless warrior behind your computer.

accutally i remember him at a school reading to children then hearing about the attacks... n according to a student he said "his face looked red like he had to go to the bathroom" and then continued reading... so i guess he was hiding in a way. but i think the mayor of NY that he took control of most of the situation

To no surprise does the question and answers here expose how little the average citizen knows about national security and the protection of the President (any prez, not just Bush) under volatile conditions.

When I saw Ran and Hid Like a Coward I thought you was refering to Bill Clinton during Vietnam. As for what GWB was doing on 911. He was aboard Air Force One OK Let me type this REAL SLOW So you can read it. The President can run the ENTIRE country from aboard Air Force One. And the Secret Service was doing there JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keeping GWB out of harms way.

Bush had very little choice on that. The Secret Service takes control of the situation on occasions like that.

You would want the president to take chances and get killed and send the country in a bigger spiral? You are naive!
BTW if you do your homework all of this happened because Clinton was to busy defending himself against Monica (lying) and not paying attention to the people in Afghanistan building theis plot. They started this journey 3 years before the 11th! It was Clinton's intelligence failures and his use of cruise missiles to attack that made Osama think we are cowards! Duh!
Oh don't forget the Mogadishu. That was Osama too and Clinton muffed that operation as well not allow for AC/130's to be used.

Does your hatred for Bush overshadow your intelligence ? Ever hear of "Protocol"?? There are procedures that are implemented in a NATIONAL STATE OF EMERGENCY. Or do you think 9/11 was a common event, and you went on with your day unaffected ?
