I'm continually asking this question in the hopes that someone can help me out with this. So far I've had no luck. I've been looking for this song for a long time. The song is the background music in the videos on the link below. If you have quicktime then please listen and see if you know what the song is called. Click the link below and scroll down so you see the first two movies: JFG Promo video 2 and Nintendo Promo Video Part 1. To watch the video, click "Watch It Now" which should be under the picture of each movie. Each movie contains a different section of the song. Please tell me what the name of this song is!!!

So far, I know that this is not by Hans Zimmer or Aaron Copland. It's definitely from the 20th century and I've heard the song on ESPN (during their pre-game/bowl segments), and Nickelodeon Game and Sports (GAS). Please help me out here.

It's very hard to describe. It sounds a lot like an Aaron Copland piece but I've listened to about everything he's composed and haven't found it. The movies themselves are very small (only 3 MB). It's a full orchestral piece. Here this might help. One part of the song goes like this (Luckily I'm not tone deaf but this is matching it by ear from a trumpet section playing to a keyboard):

Eb - Bb - Eb - Bb - F - Eb - G - Eb - Bb

The G is higher than the F which is higher thant the Eb which is higher than the Bb and they are all within the same octet.
Here is a rough estimate of the meter:
Sounds like it's in 2/4. Moderate tempo. The above notes I gave you are all quarter notes with the last note being a half note.

lol its really hard to describe the melody to you. If I could, i'd transcribe it to sheet music so it could be more clear. Sorry.

i cant watch the video clip cause ive got dial up, could you maybe describe to me the instrumentation, like is it orchestral or what, and are there any words?

I'll try to figure it out. I know what Aaron Copland's music sounds like because I've played some of it. I'll try to get back to you on this as soon as I can. Thanx for descibing it.

To my knowledge, "careful With that awl, Eugene" through purple Floyd hasn't ever been used as a horror action picture soundtrack. it really is surely quite magnificent, seeing because it will be desirable in that means.
