Im a ESL student and Im taking classes in one the best college in New York.

1. read.
2. listen to public radio.
3. watch public television.
4. talk to english-speaking people.

Take some classes.....like at community colleges....or buy a cd
Learn English is a good one......also grammar books are good
libraries might have classes too
When in doubt, google it out.

Read a lot and write down what you learn. Memorize sentences, ask and answer questions. Have a good ear by listing to the English language.

Make friends with some native English speakers. Talk with them and listen as they talk among themselves. Ask them to correct you when you make an error. Be polite and earnest and people are usually willing to help you.
Listen to TV programs where correct English is spoken, such as American or British news programs.

take classes in ENGLISH and study very hard also attend the library and read books on the ENGLISH language visit BRITAIN home of the ENGLISH language and listen to how it's spoken

Read as much as possible and study an English/Grammar textbook.

Listen to instructional tapes.
Reading helps immensly as well.
Listening to American music helps too, but not pop or rap: its too fast.
